Pig Pregnancy Calculator

Here is an accurate way to calculate when your piglets will be born, or you can use this to plan for future litters.  Simply find the date your sow was bred, add 114 to the red number and then look in the next calendar until you find the number you came up with.  For example, if your sow was bred on 1 Dec you would add 114 (gestation period) to 335 which equals 449.  Simply go to the next calendar and find 449, which is 25 Mar.  So, give or take a few days you should have piglets on March 25th.  You can also "reverse engineer" your dates.  If you wanted piglets born on 1 July, you would take the Julian date - 189 - and subtract 114 for a date of 16 March.  You would need to breed your sow on or around this date for beginning of July piglets.  Of course, anyone who raises pigs know things don't always work out as planned!
